Java Black
Java Black (Gigantochloa atroviolacea) is a stunning statement plant. Mature culms are deep black with delicate green and orange stripes and can reach up to 5 inches thick and 40-60 feet tall. New shoots sprout up green and transition to black in 6-9 months. Culms can be used for all sorts of building projects and crafts. One of those specimen plants that makes you stop and stare!
