Timor Black

This stunning black bamboo (Bambusa lako) is distinct with its shiny, dark culms and upright form. Culms reach anywhere from 32-40 feet tall and 4 inches in diameter, depending on conditions. New shoots emerge vibrant green and ripen into chocolate brown before deepening into jet black. A beautiful ornamental variety that fits perfect in spaces that may not be able to accommodate the enormity of the Java Black. This bamboo does not perform well in windy and dry conditions.
